friends that are like family | okinawa beach portraits

These pictures make me miss this family so much! I was so grateful I was able to capture them on the Okinawan beaches one last time. Okinawa beach portraits are the perfect way to remember your time on this unique island. Being in the military and especially overseas causes you to create such special relationships. I only knew these people for a year of my life and yet I know I could see them anywhere, anytime and it would be like no time has passed.

I cannot believe that I am already preparing for another move. In 2020, we will be moving again although we do not yet have official orders. Saying goodbye to my friends that have been family and clients will be the hardest part. I am not wanting to move again! I love the adventure that comes with the military, but saying goodbye to the people is never easy.

This session was shot on my Canon 5d Mark iv and my Canon 5d Mark ii. I love to have both cameras with me on my Holdfast camera holster. For a family session like this one I have my Canon 35mm 1.4 lens on my Mark iv and my Sigma Art 85mm on my Mark ii. I love the ability this gives me to get close up and wide angle shots.
