Being a Topsail Beach family portrait photographer is the best “job” in the world. I love my families. We are preparing to move again this summer, such is the military life. You always know a session is going to go well when the dad greets you with “Just so you know, this next thirty minutes is going to be like torture for me.” Haha! At least he was being honest. This was my first time photographing these sweet boys and their baby sister, and I loved every moment. Of course three little boys with a tailend sister has my heart from the get go. The good news came at the end of the session when the husband informed me, “That went well, thanks for making it quick and painless!” Of course even better was to hear Mom’s reaction when she got to see these images of her gorgeous family. That is always my favorite part!

Anna, these are so beautiful! Did you shoot this session on film? I know you do a lot of film and to my eye, they have such a classic film look to them. Wonderfully done! And it doesn’t hurt that they’re a good looking family!
Thank you Amanda! Best compliment ever because that is always my goal to make my film and digital match. These are actually all digital, but I did freelens quite a bit, which I feel like gives it a creamy filmy feel. Probably why I love freelensing so much!
